The San Pedro Scene

For culture enthusiasts, there’s a famous Catholic church in the San Pedro city center that’s worth checking out. The Church of San Pedro de Atacama was constructed in the 17th century during the Spanish colonial period. It’s a beautiful adobe-style church that’s worth a visit.

Be sure to also check out Museo de Meteorito: San Pedro’s own meteorite museum. San Pedro de Atacama is known for its “moon rock,” and this quaint little museum, housed in geodesic domes, features an ever-expanding collection of meteorites that have been collected from the surrounding areas.
